St. Patrick can be found in the UK, beside the Big Ben tower. Here are the items:

1. At the Pet Park in Singapore, there is a green and yellow object above the furthest right smiling tree.
2. By the rafting game in Brazil, there is a big green leaf near the top on the left; through the indent, you can see a big green blob, which is the shamrock.
3. In the Pirates Cove near the entrance to the treasure room, there is a white line at the base of the ship's back sail; it's the scroll.
4. The housing inventory item is a leprechaun hat!

Hey! UKLover10 here! In Singapore, there are a few new things. There are two new ninja costumes available for Elite Quest Travelers. They are the white and light pink ninja suits, available in the Mega Costumes store. Also, there is now a Pet Park! There is also a new store - MegaPets - where everyone (non-members & members) can buy all of the pets ever released, as long as they have the rollars, credits, or appropriate badge. Note that this does not include the special Christmas grebo.

"Here are the final results of the Haiti donations!

We have achieved an admirable sum of US$589 from your selflessness and generosity, and to chip in to the effort, the development team of Wiglington and Wenks is also donating another US$300, making our total contribution US$889. Unknown to many of you - in the original US$589 - John Bittleston (the author of Wiglington and Wenks) donated US$200 too.

While it is not a lot of money - every little bit helps - and we can be proud of the fact that we have put in our sincere efforts to help Haiti. All of you contributed in one way or another - either through donating, through talking about the event, through tweeting or through praying.

This unfortunate calamity could have happened to any of us, and in times of darkness, we would certainly appreciate a helping hand. This time, you lent your helping hand to the victims of Haiti.

On behalf of Haiti and Wiglington and Wenks, I thank all of you for your support and kindness.

Let us all pray for the quake victims of Haiti and hope that they stay resilient and rebuild their lives.

The donation of US$889 will go to the HSI( Humane Society International) disaster relief funds. Once we receive the official receipt from HSI, we will be putting it up for all of us to remember this touching moment when all the players of Wiglington and Wenks united and contributed to help Haiti as one family, even though we are all from different countries, timezones and cultures.

Some of you may have already noticed the updates, but just for the uninformed, here they are -

1. Geeky Mouse Cinema
Now you can view various videos from the cinema! Just scroll up and down to see the videos. We will be updating them periodically with original content we created or from our partners.

2. New Quest Travelers Guide
We now have a cool new button at the side of the virtual world screen that will link to a guide for Quest Travelers new to our virtual world!

3. Wiglington Town Guide
Wiglington now has a rotating question mark over his head, inviting new Quest Travelers to ask him general questions about our virtual world!

4. Wiglington and Wenks New Landing Page

As there are many wonderful sections on Wiglington and Wenks besides the virtual world itself to discover and explore - like the Kids’ Forum and the WW Blog - we decided that we had to upgrade our landing page and change the look to provide more buttons and information. We understand that it may seem a little cluttered but unfortunately, we really have a lot to say and offer!

5. Last but not least, we are working out various plans. They include -

- the selection of the Party Mod Trainees and working out a party schedule

- working out a schedule for our Mods to come on at specific times

- working out a schedule for Chee Yong, Galen, Aldric and Edrienne to come on at specific times

- the upcoming locations, historical people, games, quests, clothing, etc

- planning out a series of contests with attractive prizes

- and many many other features that will make your traveling experience in the World of Wiglington and Wenks just fantastic!

So during this time, if we are slightly quiet and slower to reply than usual, it’s because we are working super hard. But we can promise you that in time to come the main Staff members will meet you often on Wiglington and Wenks!

Some of you may still not be familiar with our in-game moderators. So we’ve compiled their names and done up short writeups to introduce them. It might also give you Mod-wannabes what qualities we are looking for in Mods!

The Chief - Trey

Trey has contributed much to the growth of Wiglington and Wenks. He was the first to make a post on our forum way back when we were still in our early development days. Trey gave us the boost we needed to start getting known and soon more people came to know about us. Trey has also been very active in helping us squash the bugs from the very start. Due to his significant contribution and his vast experience in virtual worlds, Trey current sits on top as the Chief Moderator to guide and lead the Mod team.

Sheriff - mfruit and Daniel

Both mFruit and Daniel joined us since the Closed Beta stage.
mFruit is the brains behind the design of the Open and Closed Beta Hats. He has a flair for coming up with minimalistic designs that look both simple and GREAT at the same time. Back in the days when mFruit was not a Mod yet, he already exhibited Mod-like behavior by being very willing to help out new players and constantly contributing designs of accessories and clothes.
Daniel constantly reminded everyone on the forums to stick to the rules and was always actively helping out even though he was not an official mod back then. He always looks after and gives good advice to new players and is well-liked by everyone.

Trainee Scouts - Muffin, Clown, BIG, Shadow, Green

These are our latest Mods in training.
All of them have displayed great conviction and are strong supporters for WW who want WW to succeed just as much as we do. They have all contributed in their own special ways to help spearhead the growth of Wiglington and Wenks.
Muffin and Clown have always been happy and jovial chaps. Even in times of difficulties, they never seem to let it get in their way.
BIG and Shadow have always been extremely helpful, constantly on the run to help out new players.
Green - being a video making enthusiast - was one of the earlier pioneers who helped make WW videos and distributed them.
So there you go - the Mods of Wiglington and Wenks!
By the way - as Mods tend to be quite popular - please do not get upset with them if they are not able to accept your request to be friends. They may be either too busy or their buddy lists are already full. It’s nothing personal!"

Hi Quest Travelers,

Some of you may be wondering what the perks of being a Member are.

After reviewing your requests and feed backs, we have come up with several perks to reward those who sign up with Wiglington and Wenks to be an Elite Quest Traveler (Member). This list will keep expanding as we improve and introduce more features.

Monthly Rewards
There will be 3000 rollars and 1000 WW Credits credited to our Members every month! This allows Members to gradually accumulate their game currencies so that they can spend on accessories and costumes!

Balloon Warz! Rooms
When this feature is fully launched (very soon!), Members will be able to play in special rooms as well as play longer in the rooms for more fun and Rollars! Members will be able to play in rooms up to 5 minutes and 10 minutes (ordinary Quest Travelers can only play up to 3 minutes)!

Mega Costumes and Mega Pets
There will be pets and costumes purchasable only by members at the Mega Costumes Store and an upcoming Mega Pet Store. At times, pre-sales will be held in these locations so that Members will be able to purchase costumes and pets months in advance prior to their actual release!

Special Locations
There will be special locations released along the way that only Members are able to gain access to. These means special quests, exclusive collectibles, unique costumes, games and items available exclusively to Members!

A New Journey Begins

A message from the Chief Executive Producer
John Bittleston is 77. I am 32.
We have fewer things in common than a chicken and a cheese. He knows more about the world than I do and I know more about the world than I think he thinks I do.
But when we met, the strange fate that draws 2 very different characters together struck. We thus embarked on the journey to turn The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks into a phenomenal virtual world for kids.
6 years ago when I set up MediaFreaks I had never imagined that we would one day create a virtual world. It would be a most unlikely situation for an animation studio. But we went ahead to put together the finest team of talents we could find.
For more than a year, my team has worked hard to make this virtual world a reality. Every single day, we wake up with the determination to make this the best virtual world for kids ever. Not just in terms of fun, but also in terms of educational values.
John has been a good friend, a mentor and a reliable business partner. Above all, he is a wise man who is genuinely concerned about people and the world. The gems of his wisdom and concern are evident in The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks story book series.
I hope – as the person responsible for creating and stewarding the development of the virtual world – I have done his masterpiece justice.
Tomorrow this part of the journey will end with the official launch of the virtual world and a new stage of the journey will begin.
I invite you to ride with us on this new exciting adventure.

Napoleon said ‘Geography is History’. It is true that when Geography was taken off the curriculum of many schools across the world, kids lost a bit of history - that exciting foreword to their own lives, full of exemplary role models and horrendous, hair-raising warnings. I decided that my own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were not going to miss this important introduction to the thrills, challenges and sheer fun of their time on our planet. So I wrote The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks, four books of daring adventure, exploration and mind-bending problems.

From a play, an exhibition, a board game and a film trailer, MediaFreaks have now developed the stories into online Computer Games and a Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World. In these, kids are challenged to learn about the world’s cultures, about the challenges of climate change and a rapidly growing population, and to see the wonderful, limitless opportunities for all who have the courage to seize them.

As a source of fun for the young they are without equal. And there is no better way of learning about the wonders today’s kids will soon help to shape - both for the kids themselves and for their parents who are as bewildered as the rest of us by the speed of change and the hopes and dreams that change opens up.

In the Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World kids help to shape and construct an environment in their own image and to their own standards. Code of the Exclusive Wiglington and Wenks Party Moderators

There is the misconception by some that being a WW Party Moderator is less prestigious than being a ‘real’ moderator. Well, let us put it straight - that’s wrong thinking! It’s not easy being selected to be a WW Party Moderator too. To prove it, here’s the code the WW Party Mods have to follow.

They must be FUN, FUNNY, WITTY and FULL OF ENERGY.
They must help make parties fun and lively
They must keep the parties safe from party crashers
They must make sad players happy and bad players sad
They must radiate positive energy and bring happiness to the virtual world

The Structure

So here’s how it will be structured.

In order of authority, this is the chain of command -

Party Chief
Party Moderators
Trainee Party Moderators

Party Chief

There will only be 1 Party Chief at any one time. Consider the Party Chief to be the highest Party Mod position awarded to any player.

Prior to being a Party Chief, he/she must have served as a Party Mod for at least 1 year. The candidate must know the rules of WW by heart, have no blemished track record and is able to show commitment in serving the WW community for at least another year.
The Party Chief will be nominated by the Party Mods and the Staff.
Responsibilities

Ensure that all Party Moderators are doing their jobs
Ensure that at least 4 parties are being organized per month, including special occasions and holidays
Ensure that party games and rules are laid out and known to all players of WW
Organize party schedules and delegate jobs to all Party Moderators
Moderate and publicize the WW Party Network
Lead all Party Moderators to make Wiglington and Wenks a really fun place to party in!

Privileges

The ability to ban bad players for 1 week
Access to the exclusive Mod’s Club
Free full premium Membership as long as they remain active as a Mod
1500 rollars and 1500 WW Virtual Credits monthly
The exclusive WW Party Chief’s T-shirt and Mug
Exclusive Party Chief’s Hat
Exclusive Party Chief’s Frebo

Party Moderators

The Party Moderator is the title held by an official Party Moderator.
Prior to being official Party Moderators, they must have served as a Trainee Party Moderator for at least 3 months.
Party Moderators must be committed to service the WW community for at least 1 year. They would assist the Party Chief in planning any programs and also be a mentor to newly appointed mods to help them get accustomed to the responsibilities.
Their responsibilities are similar to that of being a Trainee Party Moderator, but they will have more rewards for being an official Party Mod.
Responsibilities

Run at least 4 parties (as a group) every month on Wiglington and Wenks
Encourage players to throw parties
Invent party games and teach players how to play them
Invite players to parties via the WW Party Network and WW Blog
Encourage players to participate in the parties
Help players throwing parties to moderate the parties and organize games (but be careful not to spoil the fun by being too strict!)
Kick bad players on Wiglington and Wenks
Moderate and publicize the WW Party Network

Privileges

The ability to ban bad players for a day
Access to the exclusive Mod’s Club
Free 6 months premium Membership

Trainee Party Moderators

Trainee Scouts is the title held by Party mods-in-training.
The reason for having Trainee Party Mods is to ensure that they are truly committed to being a Party Moderator on Wiglington and Wenks and will not give up halfway. They will need to serve for at least 3 months before they can be considered for promotion to an official Party Moderator.
Responsibilities

Run at least 4 parties (as a group) every month on Wiglington and Wenks
Encourage players to throw parties
Invent party games and teach players how to play them
Invite players to parties via the WW Party Network and WW Blog
Encourage players to participate in the parties

As you know, we’ve been working very hard on many things. And the WW Moderation Structure and System is one of them.

Code of the Prestigious Wiglington and Wenks Moderators

We want to make it known to everyone that being a WW Moderator is not easy. As you know by now, we are very strict when choosing our Mods. We don’t want nor do we believe in perfect people, but we want people who try their best and are honest. And we will reward all our WW Moderators well

They must be honest, diligent and responsible in performing their duties
They must be polite and committed to helping all players at all times
They must not abuse their powers and ban players for personal reasons
They must be humble in admitting their faults (nobody is perfect)
They must uphold the reputation of The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World at all times
They should help promote The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World whenever possible and reasonable

The Structure

So here’s how it will be structured.

Staff Moderators (staff only)
The Chief
Sheriffs
Scouts
Trainee Scouts

Staff Moderators

These are mainly staff members such as the development and management team. So you can’t be one of these unless you work with us. Who knows next time?

The Chief

Trey is our very first Chief!

Prior to being a Chief, he/she must have served as a lower level Mod for at least 2 years. The candidate must know the rules of WW by heart, have no blemished record and is able to show commitment in serving the WW community for at least 1 year.

In general the Chief must be well-liked, be all around popular and have contributed in special ways such as bringing folks to WW, producing promotional videos, creating designs, blogging, etc.

Responsibilities

Ensure the welfare of all players and uphold the security of the WW virtual world
Delegate tasks and instructions and run the Mod’s HQ effectively and efficiently
Handpick new Mods
Suggest and implement better safety features for the virtual world
Reward the good and punish the bad

Privileges

The ability to permanently ban bad players
The ability to go Undercover
Access to the exclusive Mod’s Club
Free full premium Membership as long as they remain active as a Mod
2000 rollars and 2000 WW Virtual Credits monthly (yes, you get free credits to buy premium clothes and stuff!)
The exclusive WW Chief’s T-shirt and Mug

Sheriffs

Sheriff is the title held by a senior Moderator. Currently only Mfruit and Daniel are Sheriffs.

Their main job is to stick around designated locations in the virtual world where players can easily find them to report bad behavior in the virtual world.

Prior to being Sheriffs, they must have served as a either a Scout or a Party Mod for at least 1 year.

Sheriffs must be committed to service the WW community for at least 1 year. They would assist the Chief in planning any programs and also be a mentor to newly appointed mods to help them get accustomed to the responsibilities.

Privileges

The ability to permanently ban bad players
The ability to go Undercover
Access to the exclusive Mod’s Club
Free 1 year premium Membership
1500 rollars and 1500 WW Virtual Credits monthly
The exclusive WW Sheriff’s T-shirt and Mug

Scouts

Scout is the title held by newly appointed official Mods.

As scouts, their primary job is to travel around the virtual world and help new players by showing them around and teaching them the rules. A secondary role is to police the virtual world to warn or ban bad players.

Prior to being Scouts, they must have served as a Trainee Scout for at least 3 months.

Scouts must be committed to service the WW community for at least 1 year. They would assist the Sheriffs and the Chief in planning any programs and also be a mentor to Trainee Scouts to help them get accustomed to the responsibilities.

Privileges

The ability to ban bad players for 7 days
Access to the exclusive Mod’s Club
Free 6 months premium Membership
1000 rollars and 1000 WW Virtual Credits monthly
The exclusive WW Scout’s T-shirt and Mug

Trainee Scouts

Trainee Scouts is the title held by mods-in-training.

All 3rd Generation Mods onwards will be Trainee Scouts first (after Trey, Mfruit and Daniel). The reason for having Trainee Scouts is to ensure that they are truly committed to being a Moderator on Wiglington and Wenks and will not give up halfway. They will need to serve for at least 3 months before they can be considered for promotion to a Scout - an official Mod.

Their job is to help people around and police the virtual world to warn or ban bad players. They are appointed only through selective interviews by the Super Moderators with assistance and consultation from the The Chief as well as the Sheriffs.

Privileges

The ability to ban bad players for 24 hours
Access to the exclusive Mod’s Club

During the trial probation period, Trainee Scouts will be watched over closely by senior Mods and staff. Any complaints against them will be investigated thoroughly and if found guilty, will impact their progress to being promoted to be an official Mod. In serious cases, their Trainee Scout status will be taken away.

"Trey here! Just wanted to say that Frebos can be bought from the pet seller! Frebos are actually the flying version of the Grebos and they are cool because … they fly!

Tutorial on How to Get your Frebo:

1. Talk to the guy who sells pets at the Wiglington Town.

2. Click him and select ”I want to adopt!”

3. Then select the Frebo and select ”Buy”. (remember you MUST be a member!)

Moderator Identification:

To make sure everyone knows who the Moderators are we have added gold and yellow chat to every moderator’s chat. Only moderators have gold and yellow name and chat.

Remember moderators can kick you from the game and ban you, so watch your chat, we are watching on accounts that you cannot tell is a moderator!"

Cool! Too bad Frebos are member-only. It's pretty cool that we can tell mods from normal citizens.
